Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy sets out time2u’s commitment to protecting the privacy of your personal information that is collected through our website, online applications or directly from you.

The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (‘Privacy Act’), the Australian Privacy Principles, Privacy Regulation 2013 (‘Regulations’) and registered privacy codes govern the way in which time2u must manage your personal information. This policy sets out how personal information is collected, used, disclosed and otherwise managed.

1. Personal information

Personal information may be gathered during the sales process, as well as once you are a customer. Personal information may be requested from you in order to provide any of time2u’s products and services. This information is deemed reasonably necessary to perform a function within the product or service.

Personal information means information from which your identity can be reasonably ascertained. The types of personal information that may be collected from you include (but is not limited to):

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Residential address
  • Postal address
  • Email address
  • Telephone numbers
  • Your occupation and place of work.

2. Sensitive information

Sensitive information is personal information relating to your racial or ethnic origin, criminal history, sexual orientation, membership of any trade or professional associations. time2u will only collect this information from you if you have provided it.

3. Collection of your personal information

The main way time2u collects personal information about you is when you actively provide it.

time2u collects, holds, uses and discloses your personal information which is necessary to carry out business functions. These functions and activities include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing you with products and services
  • Providing you with information about other products and services you may be interested in
  • Assist in the management and further development of products and services
  • Providing further insights into the usage of products and services, through analytics
  • Various marketing activities time2u may deem of interest to you.

In order to perform the functions and/or activities described above, time2u may disclose your personal information to any of the following persons or organisations:

  • time2u’s related entities (if any) to facilitate internal business processes
  • Third party service providers, who assist in business operations (including but not limited to credit reporting bodies, technology service providers, marketing providers). These service providers may not comply or be required to comply with this privacy policy
  • Organisations involved in maintaining, reviewing, upgrading and developing time2u’s software and business systems
  • Financial advisers, legal advisers or auditors
  • Organisations involved in financial systems including financial institutions, merchants and payment organisations
  • As required or authorised by law and/or where you have given your consent.

4. Storing of your personal information

time2u stores your personal information electronically, as well as in paper. Internal processes are put in place to ensure that your personal information is stored safely to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including electronic and physical security measures.

time2u cannot accept any responsibility or liability for information which is intercepted over the Internet.

5. Use of your personal information for marketing purposes

time2u may contact you from time to time with updates to products and services or to advise of a new product or services which may be of interest to you. time2u will not sell or make available your personal information to another company without your prior consent.

time2u may contact you to provide a testimony and/or case study. You will have the opportunity to review information contained in these communications, prior to publishing.

6. Use of your personal information through social media

If you access a social media page operated by time2u, you have consented for the third party social media service to share this information with us. This may include personal information, usernames, pictures and connections.

7. Use of your personal information through online activity

time2u uses cookies to record browsing activity on its website. This analytical information helps time2u improve the service it provides to you and assists marketing.

8. Overseas third parties

time2u may disclose your personal information to third parties which reside overseas, such as a technology service provider.

Prior to disclosing your personal information to an overseas third party, time2u will take all reasonable steps to ensure that:

  • The overseas party does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles; or
  • The overseas party is subject to a law, or binding scheme, that has the effect of protecting the information in a way that, overall, is at least substantially similar to the way the Australian Privacy Principles protect the information; or
  • You have provided consent to us. By accepting the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy on time2u’s Order Form provides consent to the disclosures detailed herein.

9. Access to your personal information

Subject to some exceptions, you can find out what personal information time2u holds about you by providing your request in writing. time2u will normally deal with your request immediately. Where your query is complex, please allow up to 14 days. You agree for time2u to pass on any costs to retrieve the information.

10. Complaint resolution

Should you wish to make a complaint about the management of your personal information, please contact time2u in writing. time2u will endeavour to respond within seven days upon receipt of your concern. A final decision on your complaint will be made within 30 days.

11. Updates to the Privacy Policy

time2u may amend or update this Policy at any time.
